The Academy shall maintain istself as a professional corporation of excellence, acknolwedged as a consulting institution of the highest level by engineering associations, universities, govemments and multilateral organizations. It will be formed by engineers that have been elected by their peers on the basis of their ethical, academmic and professional merits; their outstaning countributions towards the progress of the country and the Continent and their vocation to continue contributing capability and experience.
The Academy will issue justified opinions and founded Declarations and establish policies for the engineering in the Continent as a result of studies and discussions among its Members and summoned experts. It will pay special attention to progress in engineering, science and technology and their impact on the development of the countries of the Continent. It will maintain an environment of critical thinking, intemationally accredited, for its illustrious vision of the future of engineering and the efficacy of its cooperation with other institutions of coincident objectives.
