Pan American Academy of Engineering
The Academy meets every two years in Plenary Ordinary Sessions preferably in conjunction with the Conventions of UPADI.
The Members have obligation to participate in the activities of the Academy be it with their presence at the biennial meetings, or forming part of Committees and Task Groups, or as a Speaker at Conferences sponsored by the Academy or be part of working teleconferences coordinated by an authority of the Academy.
The Members and Associate Members must pay an annual membership fee and its lack of payment by two successive years means the expiration of the status of Member of the Academy.
The Executive authority of the Academy is a Board of Directors composed of: the President, the President-elect and the last President, two Vice-Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, two Member Directors and two Alternates Members lasting two years in its role. The Board of Directors should meet annually, when summoned by the President or when is required by one half of its members. The Board of Directors will be renewed by halves during the Biennial Plenary Ordinary Sessions.
The Election Committee analyses and proposes the acceptance of new Academicians. It is integrated by three members and three alternate, all Members Academicians or Emeritus
The Auditing Committee, integrated by two members, one Academician and the other designated by UPADI oversees the economic - financial operation, and the surveillance of the assets and patrimony of the Academy.
The Advisory Board will be timely, integrated with all the former Presidents that still remain as Members of the Academy.
The Awards Committee created, on the proposal of the President, in the Plenary Ordinary Session of Mexico 2004, aims to analyze, and evaluate the proposals of candidates that are in conditions to integrate the Board of Directors and to propose their names to the corresponding Plenary Session. That Committee should be composed of three Members which two, should be Founding Members.

The Consulting Council will be formed opportunely, with all the Past Presidents that are still Members of the Academy.
