Pan American Academy of Engineering
The first version of these By Laws was born in the UPADI Committee on Engineering Education accompanying the initiative to create the Inter-American Academy of Engineering Education and it was proposed to the Directory of UPADI in 1989 (See Origins and History).
On the basis of this first version and at the request of the Directory, two Members of the Committee of Education, Engineers Yadarola and Reyes Guerra adapted the By Laws to create the Pan American Academy of Engineering .
The definitive version was approved by the Directory in Costa Rica in 1996 , previous its revision and opinion by the Advisory Council.
The Pan American Academy of Engineering was founded on Panama in August 2000.
The first modification of the By Laws was approved in Mexico in the year 2004 and the present version, with more important changes, was decided in the Extraordinary Plenary Session , summoned in Brasilia in December of 2008 .
The following text of the By Laws is the version approved in Rio de Janeiro that is effective from December 2011:
