Pan American Academy of Engineering
The Pan American Academy of Engineering was founded in the City of Panama on August 24, 2000. The initiative was born in UPADI, Pan American Federation of Engineering Societies, the organization that represents the engineers of the Continent, through the National Federations of each country.
In 1996 UPADI adopted the first version of the By Laws and summoned all its Members to carry out careful process of selection to hold the position Founder Members. The candidates were elected by the International Board of UPADI during its meetings held in Lima, Peru, in 1998 and in Panama in August 2000.
The Foundation Ceremony was an act of great relevance in which representatives of other Academies of the American Continent and Europe, of Multilater Organizations and leaders in engineering of America and the world participated.
