BS in Aerospace Engineering, Virginia Tech, 1968. MS in Mechanical Engineering, University of Texas, El Paso, 1972. PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Montana State University, 1975.

Director, Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies, Michigan Tech. Associate Director, National Science Foundation ERC in Wireless Integrated Microsystems.

Served as a faculty member, department chair, institute director, and dean for 35 years. Developed new and innovative educational programs, the Enterprise Program

and the Institute for Global Technological Leadership at Michigan Tech. Has been Director, Institute for Micromanufacturing, Louisiana Tech University. Affiliate Staff Scientist, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Professor&Head, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Louisiana Tech University. He conceived, obtained funding, and was the founding director for the Institute for Micromanufacturing, a state of the art research and development facility for the creation of micro and nano devices.

Member of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME); Pan American Federation of Engineering Societies (UPADI); American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE); American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Board of Directors of Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Chairman or Co-chairman of over 30 national and international technical sessions from 1980 – present.

He has written over 150 papers and contributions, such as “The Use of Body Motion for Powering Biomedical Devices”; “Energy Harvesters for Powering Biomedical Applications”; “Body Motion to Recharge Batteries for Hybrid Power Supplies”; “Non-Resonant Kinetic Energy”; “Generator for Human Motion”. In addition, Dr. Warrington has made over 35 invited talks around the world.
